History
The children did a great job with Miss. Grady, making a human timeline of the life of Florence Nightingale.
Phonics Practice
In late November/early December, Year 2 children will sit the 'Phonic Screening Test' that they missed in June 2020. This powerpoint contains a huge amount of words to practise. Skip through and try a few from each section. Remember to sound out and then blend the sounds together.
Computing
We are having great fun on Tuesday mornings. We are improving our iPad skills by playing some great games like Alchemy & Toca Nature.
Science
We carried out an investigation to see if the tallest people in the class had the biggest feet. We measured our heights and then drew round our shoes and measured them. We found out that not all the tallest people have the biggest feet but a lot of the shortest people do have the smallest feet!

R.E.
In R.E. we are learning about the sacrament of 'Baptism.' We watched a video of a real baptism and then we split into small groups to do some role-play of the service. We had the priest, parents, godparents and siblings! We pretended to bless the baby with holy water and oil of chrism.
P.E.
We are trying really hard to improve our throwing and catching skills.
We finished our lesson with a competition to see who could throw the bean bag the furthest. Some hit the trim trail! The winners were:

Well done!
Science
In science we were investigating the best materials to use to make an umbrella for teddy! We put the same amount of water on each material to see if it would soak through.
