Anti-Bullying Week 2021: One Kind Word
Today we came to school wearing odd socks to show that we are all different.
This half term the children are learning about Baptism. We have been learning about what happens during a baptism and the special symbols of a baptism. The children had fun acting out parts of a baptism.
This half term we are learning about Materials. The children have been naming common materials and sorting them into groups.
We have been learning to count numbers within 10. We have used different equipment to help us. This week we used a number line to count.
Black History Month
The children have been learning about Sir Mo Farah as part of Black History Month. We found out lots of facts about Sir Mo Farah's life. Did you know that Sir Mo Farah wanted to be a footballer or a mechanic growing up? It was only when a teacher suggested that he join a running club that he realised he had an amazing talent.
The children had fun copying Sir Mo Farah's celebration pose, 'The Mobot'.
The children have had lots of fun during our Science lessons this half term. They sang the song 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' when learning about different body parts.
The children completed a smell test when learning about our 5 senses. Ask your child what their favourite smell was.
The children completed a touch test whilst blind folded. They used descriptive language to describe what they felt in the feely tubs.
The children have been learning to name parts of a computer, log on and use the mouse correctly.
