About the Bible (20 January)
Today's Scripture
Mr Martin talks about the BIble
Today we are going to learn all about the Bible - the sacred text for all Christians and Catholics.
Listen to my audio clip above which will give you some background information about the Bible.
First, read the scripture from St Paul above.
Next, read through the slideshow below all about the Bible.
Then, complete the task telling me 5 new things you have learnt about the Bible today.
Then think about these questions:
- What kinds of stories are passed on in your family? What do they tell you about your family?
- What do you think the people of God might have thought was important to remember and pass on?
- Why is the Bible important to Christians?
- When do you hear the Bible being read?
- How is the Holy Spirit the author of the Bible?
- What do you think is the hope that Paul is referring to in his letter (above) to the Romans? (Hint: it could be the hope for Salvation, for Eternal life.)
