Week 2 (Who do we trade with?)

Today we are going to learn how the UK links up with other countries to trade by importing and exporting goods.

 

First, read through the first few slides of the Powerpoint presentation below and see if you can guess whether the goods are imported, exported or both.

 

Then have a go at the Import and Export links activity sheet. There are three different levels of challenge - you can chose one or do them all. (You will need an atlas, access to the internet for google maps or use the map from last week.)

 

Then you can attempt the next activity sheet which asks you to find out what we import from various countries.  Again, you could chose one or more of the countries to research (there is a weblink on each sheet).
