Healthy Eating

The school nurse came into Year 1 to teach us all about keeping healthy. We made a fruit kebab and a healthy sandwich.

Religious Education

All of the children sat quietly during our class prayer session. Some children took it in turns to say a prayer.

History

This half term the children have been learning about families. The children had lots of fun when some of their Grandparents came in to visit us. They asked our visitors questions about family life in the past and compared it to family life today.

Science

This half term the children have been learning about animal groups. They have read lots of non-fiction books to find out more and sorted animals in different ways.

European Day of Languages

The children had lots of fun learning how to say words and phrases in French. They also enjoyed playing bingo in Spanish with our lunchtime assistant.

Autumn 1

What a great first week the children have had! They have been sorting, grouping and counting objects in Maths and retelling the story of The Tiger Who Came to Tea in Literacy.
