Homework for Autumn Half Term

Today we were learning about Black History Month. We learned about why it started, when it started and about some black people who have been recognised for their important achievements and their inspiring lives. People like: Carter Woodson, John Blanke, George Washington Carver, Rosa Parkes, Lilian Bader, Sam Beaver King, Bishop Wilfred Wood, Tessa Sanderson, Barack Obama and Mae Jemison.

As a class we are going to find out all we can about an author whose books we have in our class and school library; Malorie Blackman.

Children should conduct some research and find out all they can about her. They can present their findings however they like; as a poster, a fact file or a Power Point presentation.
