Class Books

In the Summer term we read There's a Pharaoh in Our Bath by Jeremy Strong. This book was laugh out loud funny! We loved the brother and sister characters and could really relate to their relationship! It also helped us with our learning in our History topic about the Ancient Egyptians.  Laugh a minute!!

In the Spring term we also read the Iron Man by Ted Hughes. The author was also a poet and we could tell by the style of his writing. We loved this book. It was really different from the other books we have read. We read it in five days because it was quite short. A must read!

In the Spring term we also read Dear Olly by Michael Morpurgo. This is the second book we have read by Michael Morpurgo and it didn't disappoint! This book was also set in Africa (Rwanda) and England. We loved it even thought it was sad at times.

In the Spring term we read Charlotte's Web by E.B. White. It was written in 1950 and is set in America. We absolutely loved this book! It is quite sad but also very funny! A must read!

In the Autumn term we also read the Firework Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman. This book was set in Malaysia and was really exciting, adventurous and funny at times.

In Autumn Term we read the Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo. It is a book that is set in Africa and England. We loved this book even though it was sad at times.
