Black History Month 2025
Black History Month theme this year was standing firm and being proud of who you are showing resilience and strength even when people treated you unfairly. St Gilbert’s studied and researched various Black people and how they took pride in themselves in who they were. The people we learned about were Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Wangari Mathaai, Authur Tull and Maya Angelou. An assembly took place for children to show case their work.
