Chris Lubbe
Today we welcomed Chris Lubbe to school, as part of Black History Month. Chris, once a bodyguard to Nelson Mandela, is a truly inspirational speaker. He talked about growing up in South Africa, apartheid and the civil rights movement. Chris presented this week’s 5Ws certificates to the children. In class the children looked at different aspects of black history and shared their work in the assembly at the end of the day. Chris’s message was one of reconciliation and forgiveness. Parents joined us at the end of the day to hear this important message.
